I actually purchased them in various sizes and plan to buy more as I redo other rooms. 5Great product This is terrific. No comparison to the stamped metal ones at the home stores. A little pricey but well worth it. Works great with high flow furnace. The vertical blades are individually adjustable, very well built. 5Solid Design, RECOMMEND After buying several similar design ones from another brand without installing, I was prepared to be disappointed since the other one was terrible. So glad I was wrong. This one is solid and opens and closes without any problem. I wish I had know about this one before buying the other night. Get this one! 5Better than stamped products Well made and better appearance than standard "home center" products. The front diffusers allow you to direct air left and right (relative to product photo), while the rear diffuser handles up and down. Doesn't vibrate or whistle in areas with higher velocity output, which my wife really appreciates (and therefore, I appreciate). Clean paint job, as well. Throw away the ugly slotted hex screws that come with it and use a good quality countersunk oval or flat for the best appearance. 5High flow The design of this diffuser allows for much better control of the air outflow than the standard vents, and this one has significantly increased flow, which allows more air to the room where we installed it. 5IT'S METAL AND DOESN'T BEND! I first bought an aluminum version, but had to return due to instability. This was exactly what I was looking for since I have this one in other bedroom. It doesn't bend, the lever was easy to use and vertical louvers were easy to move. Came with 2 long screws and fit perfectly into the opening. 5Perfect replacement for warm climate A/C vent units. Perfect replacement for my condo A/C vent. Florida is a year-round A/C climate, so the vents must send the cold air across the room. This model is exactly the old version that it replaces and performs perfectly! 5Cover seems fine; sent with incorrect screws We recently replaced our 35+ year-old AC with a newer one. The new AC has a higher fan setting, so our old vent covers (that have been painted over several times) were hissy and noisy. I bought two of these to replace the two noisiest and they came and were fine. Much quieter. All was well. I've attached a close-up image of one of them, installed.So, we decide to replace the other covers in the bedrooms and I bought two more. These came, and I open one up. But, this time, the included screws were hex head (technically, washer hex head) screws instead of the countersunk oval heads that came the first time. See the second image. These hex-head screws don't sit flat on the recessed screw hole in the vent cover and generally stick out and look amateur hour.I am returning these, as I don't want to drive miles to the closest hardware store with a decent fastener inventory, hunt around the bins for the correct screws of the right length, and then have to paint the screws so that they look decent. I hate to downgrade an otherwise decent product for what might just be a silly error somewhere. But, I see another review mentioning that that reviewer also got the wrong screws, so I think this is something the supplier needs to address. 3Happy overall with some challenges Nice looking diffuser with matching white screws. After installing I had a little trouble with the adjustment--it does not open and close easily as I had hoped. Nonetheless, it could be my install doesn't allow for sufficient movement of the mechanism and I was able to do enough manual maneuvering that the flow is where I want it to be. 4Good gear, excellent direction of air. This vent is great if you don't want your airflow split as the more traditional, older vents do. I have vent positions where it just doesn't make sense to direct half the air flow to an exterior window, so through this vent direct ALL the airflow in one direction. Room is much, much warmer now. A good piece of gear! 5
