  • Innovative DESIGN enables quiet and efficient ventilation: The innovative design of the fan blades improves the air flow and facilitates a highly efficient ventilation. The impeller was designed with a focus on minimzing the noise level yet delivering the desired airflow and pressure
  • Perfect case fan regulation with PWM: the PWM function allows the motherboard to run the fan precisely at its necessary speed. This guarantees the required cooling and minimizes the noise level
  • Pwm Sharing Technology (PST) lowers noise: The PST assures That all of your fans listen to one control signal. E.G. You share the CPU cooler's PWM signal and assure that your case fans stand down at low load and spin up whenever necessary
  • Long service life: The fluid Dynamic Bearing comes with an oil capsule that avoids lubricant leakage. Thus this bearing is as quiet as a sleeve bearing but comes with a significantly higher service life
  • Fan controller Made in Germany: The Arctic F8 PWM PST fan is well known for high airflow at a comfortable noise level. The real improvement is the motor and controller. Our German engineers made this fan work at lower speed When performance is not needed

Best Inaudible fan you can buy for under $10. Rivals Noctua A9 Perfomance and Noise at 1/3rd the cost. The Artic f8 pro pwm and the Artic f8 pro with pst both are amazing 80mm fans. First of all they are super cheap at $6-$8 a piece shipped which makes them the cheapest 80mm fans on the market. The entire fan is stationed on the rubber casing which prevents vibrations from spreading to the case. This fan runs at nearly silent and the sound is pleasant at full rpms, but most of the time it runs at 500-600 rpm which is inaudible to my hearing. My whole case has noctuas in it, and while they are slightly more silent than these at similiar higher rpms, these at 1/3rd the cost make more sense for the avg user. Unless you need that completely silent pc go for them. They are pretty much inaudible at anything other than full speed. Attached a video for your references.Their build quality is good but be careful upon installation, saw some reviews which mentioned issues none of which I've experienced, but doesn't hurt to be careful with the rubber casing.Note: they only work for exhaust ports as the other side has rubber inserts for noise and vibration reduction. If you need them for intake usage get the non pro pwn version instead. Virtually the same as the pro except it works on both sides and cost a bit more.Only downside I noted is there is a slight ticking noise you can hear if you put your ear right next to it. Inaudible from 1 feet away but i like to be detailed so letting you guys know. I noticed the same on the non pro version and didn't notice it on the noctua version. The nearly inaudible noise doesn't go away even on rubber inserts so it's just how the bearings might be. 5Works as a simple 2 wire fan too. I bought this one to replace the very old and failing fan built inside the ATX power supply of my home brew DVR. (A pc with tuner cards)The original was a cheap made in china power supply made in 2003. Last year the old fan locked up and the house smelled like a fire was going on. Took it apart cleaned up the fan and re oiled it. That worked until last summer when it started making horrible noises again. I ignored that and just now installed the new fan. I had to replace 9 failed capacitors on the motherboard anyway, since it totally died the other day so changed out the fan as well.I had read that a PWM fan sometimes will not work by just supplying 12 volts and ground without the use of the feedback line for the PWM drive. I tried this first with a 9v battery to see if this one would work that way.At first it did act like it required the PWM input. (would start, run a few seconds, then stop) for whatever reason after doing that a few times, it ran reliably and constantly at full speed on the battery only.I tested the PWM input and it is already at a logic one voltage-wise so has a pullup resistor inside.Put the thing into the power supply, finished the job on the rest of the computer, and its working flawlessly. It is very critical that the fan in the PS of that computer ALWAYS runs for this application. The DVR pc is set to turn itself on and off as programmed to record over the air TV. I may or may not be at home when it does that, I may or may not be sleeping at the times that it decides to switch on or off.Reliability is critical. I dont want to come home to a burned down house some day. This fan is not my first purchase of the same type from the same company.I changed 2 of the fans in my normal pc with this same type and brand (2 bearing PWM) some 3 or 4 years ago to pull air in and pressurize the case through homemade filters. Different sizes of fans. Those two using the PWM on the motherboard. They still operate near silently. Speed is regulated by the system BIOS according to temp sensors and power demand. They still havent degraded in any way.Extremely well made and reliable fans at a reasonable price. 5Better than I expected for $9 PRO:-relatively inexpensive for fans (albeit a bit pricey for 80mm fans)-PWM support, so you can control the speed easily, or automatically, depending on your application.-pretty quiet, I wouldn't call them silent but they don't bother me. I installed these in a server, where they are still more quiet than the other fans.-dual ball-bearing design for long life and reduced friction. Most fans use "sleeve bearings" which are basically two cylinders (one inside the other) with a layer of oil between them. Fans with sleeve bearings generally wear out before ball bearings.-installation screws are included, so no need to buy any.CON (really none, these are more explanations, and nitpicks.):-ball bearings make these fans more expensive than if they used another kind of bearing. Still, $9 isn't bad.-two tone color might not be your ideal design (but since fans like these generally go inside an enclosure, you shouldn't be looking at them very often. two more colors on the sticker brings these to 4 colors, which is pretty aesthetically loud.-sticker on fan blade hub, could eventually come off and get stuck in blades (I've seen this happen but not on this model of fan) 5BEWARE OF COUNTERFEITS!! I hate to give this fan a 1-star rating because I own several of them and they are great. The reason for the 1-star rating is to make people aware that they may not receive an authentic Arctic brand fan! I recently ordered two more of the 80mm PWM PST fans, and one of the fans that I received was the real deal while the other is clearly a counterfeit. I think those counterfeit fans may be the cause of a lot of the 1-star ratings on here because it is VERY loud compared to the real deal, and it's probably nowhere near as long lasting. Here is how to tell if yours is fake (at least on the 80mm model):1) The wires on these fans are BLACK, but the wires on the fake one are multi-colored and are much thinner.2) The label on the fake fan is a slightly lighter color while the real thing is a darker blue.3) If you look at the fan blades the casting on the fake fan isn't nearly as clean, there are small chunks where the blades meet the center hub while the blades are nice & clean on the real thing.4) If you look at the fan from an angle the gap between the body and the fan blade is twice as big on the fake fan, and you can see 3 little pins in there.I ordered them both directly from Amazon rather than a 3rd party seller, but the problem is that Amazon commingles all of their inventory (meaning, all of the same items are just grouped together as one big inventory lot rather than being separated by the seller who actually owns the items), so you never know what you're gonna get. Amazon is replacing the fake one free of charge of course, but now I need to wait a few more days for the replacement to arrive so I can finish my build. So if you get some of these fans, check for the things I mentioned above to determine if you received a real fan or a fake, and if it's a fake then send it back and report the seller who you bought it from (unless you bought it directly from Amazon, of course). 1Replacement for noisy Eaton 5PX UPS Fans Replaced the two stock Sunon Maglev 3600 RPM factory installed intake and exhaust fans in my Eaton 5PX 1000VA rack mount UPS. I used two Arctic F8 Silent 3-pin fans. You have to modify the Arctic F8 fans black-yellow-green 3-pin fan connector wires to match up with the red-black-yellow Sunon fan connector wires. I tried other brands of 80mm fans but none of them worked as the UPS would report a fan error. Not with these babies. They are near whisper quiet. I now have my rack mount UPS right up next to my desk and can barely hear it. These fans run at 1200 RPM do the job nicely moving just the right amount of air without all the noise. I recommend these for anyone that has a loud noisy jet engine UPS fan screaming inside your home office. Simple replacement for peace and quiet. 5Very Pleased With Price/Performance I purchased this five-pack for about $20.50 and consider that a great deal. The leads include a male AND a female connector so multiple fans (recommended not to exceed five fans per source) can be run off the same connector on your motherboard. These are PWM-capable so if your motherboard supports that feature, fan speed will vary according to either "need" as determined by the mobo or your BIOS settings - I think (depending on the particular connector). Given the small diameter of the fans and my case (Silverstone LC20B) options I initially installed two fans side-by-side in the rear of my case and closed off open vents along the side and rear (those not associated with the power supply, of course!) so that air would be drawn into the front of the case, across a Caviar Black HDD and through the Zalman CNPS9500AT CPU cooler before exhausting out the rear. Results: The average operating temperatures of my Skylake 6700K CPU (running at a sustained 67% utilization) and HDD both dropped a solid 10 degrees Celsius (18 Fahrenheit) according to OpenHardwareMonitor.exe after installation of the fans (CPU down to around an average of 56C and the HDD 30C). Later I disabled/covered one of the fans and (surprise!) my results were essentially identical. Based on these results, I decided two fans was overkill so I kept the single fan configuration to save wear and tear and reduce the already modest noise profile. In point of fact, after installing the fan(s), the front of the case now feels cold - nice.Bottom Line: Would definitely recommend these fans based on my requirements and results - cooling impact was significant and noise generated minimal. That said, I noticed a distinct decrease in noise when I dropped to a single fan configuration laregely due to the reduced turbulence as the air is sucked into the case rather than noise generated by the fan(s) themselves. 5Great for small form factor builds! Picked up two of these for my girlfriend's build when I wanted some rear exhaust in the Thermaltake Core V1 case. Two of these fit perfectly and along with a nice 4-fan PWM splitter and are working great.+PWM - always a good thing to have whether you're running them full speed or not.+Easy to mount+Clean and simple design-Would have liked to see the cables with black coloring or a sleeve on them.-The sticker should be on the back of the fan, not on the blades, it is rarely on straight and creates a wobbly effect.-The screws are fine being silver, however black would have been preferred and they're not magnetic which is a pain.Other thoughts towards these fans - I'd have liked to have seen sleeving on the cables, or had them be black to begin with. Makes things a lot easier to hide in areas where cable management isn't the greatest. Some easy mounting rubber pins would be a nice addition for a buck or two more to add some sound dampening against vibration. It also struck me as odd that the sticker wasn't on the back of the fan and it's just barren. The stickers are just slightly off and create an illusion of vibration because of that. I'll be removing them soon to clean up the design a bit more. 5Great solution for Home/lab racked AMD server Great product and fair price for a hard to find local PWM part. Not many local box stores carry PWM fans in this size and certainly not at a fair price. This are quiet and perform well. They run 24/7 in home lab AMD racked server and I have yet to find a problem.Specifics.. I have an AMD super-micro G34 racked board at home. This is my lab/test server and the 3 F8 fans ran 100% /100% of the time. I replaced them with these PWM fans (all fan connections on my board are PWM BTW). Stays just as cool and 1/20th the noise. As the board works hard the fans increase... Perfect for my setup.FYI Suggestion for others --> If you do not have PWM fan connectors on your board buy a splitter and run them from the CPU PWM in your system. As the CPU ramps all your fans will too. There are products here on Amazon just for this purpose..Would buy again from seller and manufacture. 5DOA DOA. Wrote to the company's tech service support. They created a ticket right away (this was good). Their conclusion that there is no engineering tolerance regarding power - this is a 12V DC fan that they claim is shorted out by applying 13.55v DC (as measured by a Radioshack Multi-meter that is 20 years old and has no selectable range setting) -- tells me, their tech service area doesn't know what they are talking about. 180mm fan review, small fan thats quiet with the option to change speeds - 4pin In researching 80mm fans for my new build all I read was don't install them because they are really noisy and its not worth the trouble. Well I'm here to report that these small fans move alot of air and they are quiet. I have 2 of these in the back of my case moving air out the back. They are hooked to a fan controller that I can change the speeds. from quiet to performance mode. Yes these are a 4pin fan! Totally satisfied with this purchase and paid for this item and not a bias review 5
