Customer Reviews

Overpriced, poor performance. A disappointing performance, especially when you consider, that you pay a Premium Dollar for these hole saws. These are supposed to be construction/industrial grade, multi-purpose hole saws, to cut light masonry, tile and WOOD. While drilling a 2 x 12 joist, hit a cheap, soft metal Chinese nail, and 2 out of the 3 carbide teeth broke off. I would expect that from a "home owner grade" No-Brand product hole saws, which are not built for construction use, and priced way below the Bosch. Bosch is supposed to be Top-of-the-Line product - so again, a very disappointing performance. 1Great tool Excellent tool, these bits are a must have. Very a durable and aggressive. 5best drill bit I have ever had use it all ... best drill bit I have ever had use it all the time in my plumbing business on new houses and saves me a lot of time of drilling with normal kind of hole saw bits make sure u buy all the pieces this bit requires and u almost never will need to buy another for a long time 5Drills a perfect Dryer Vent Hole/Easy to Destroy First of all, this created a beautiful 4' hole in my mid-1970s brick exterior. Just right for an exterior dryer vent. Unfortunately, and this might have been operator error, before I could get it all the way through, the cutting bits broke off, leaving me to finish off the job by using long masonary drill bits, a hammer drill, and a chisel. it got me 2-3 inches before I had to chisel the rest out. I'm quite sure a more experienced hand would have had better luck. So, in the end, the outside looks quite good, but I've ruined an expensive bit. Of course, now that my dryer vent is in place, I probably won't have any more need for 4 inch holes in my house anyway. You will probably need a corded drill, as it takes a long time and significant torque to drill into bricks. I purchased an inexpensive DeWalt hammer drill (don't use the hammer setting) for this purpose. 3Great bit. Bosch quality Great bit.Bosch quality. What can be said.Used on drywall and wood. Had to use a light touch or the bit wanted to bite in more than my drill could handle.Easy clean out.Love the Bosch quick change adapter. 5I had previously purchased a HTC 156 and mandrel and ... I had previously purchased a HTC 156 and mandrel and it worked perfectly, but when I purchased this HTC 256 I discovered that the carbide tipped bit in the previously purchased Mandrel will not fit through the access hole in the center of the new hole saw. I bought a new mandrel with bit and am having the same problem with it as I do with the older mandrel, I think the hole saw may be defective? 2Absolute garbage I used this bit for about 7 minutes and it was completely destroyed. I was drilling a 65mm hole through a 2" x 8" and 2 of the 4 carbide bits snapped off (500rpm).Mind you I still need to go through 4" of brick as well. Well I made a grove in the brick and that was the end of the useful life of this tool. I am so mad right now because it took a 30 minute good with this bit to a 2 hours job hand chiseling the hole and it is no where near as neat andf clean as using the bit. I would not recommend this at all except for scrap. If I could give it 0 stars I would. 1great hole saw I made 6 great hole saw I made 6.... 1 3/4 inch holes through hard stucco and wire in less than 8 mina real time saver 5Very heavy duty If there was a mandril that could actually handle the torque when this bit catches a piece of metal in one of the teeth slots it would be amazing. Very strong! 5Nice investment. Then I realized they need the Bosch ... This product is awful. So I bought Bosch carbide hole saws. Nice investment. Then I realized they need the Bosch mandrel, ok no problem. But here is the problem. The darn bit is too short for Bosch hole saws. I spend an hour looking for them on line and order couple other bits and none of them will work. How did Bosch screw this up. I wasted close to $30 on bits that I don't need now. And still can't use the hole saw. 1
