Not white enough I am disappointed in the White on Clear Brother P-touch TZe tape because I bought it to use on black plastic encased electronics and the white is not as bright as I would have liked; it looks more like a light to medium gray. I have not tried the White on Black tape and so cannot compare the two, but that is probably what I will buy next. 3Love these labels..I'm additicted to organizing/Love I use with my Brother P-Touch PT-18R Rechargeable Labeling System.5Item is as describedItem was as described. It arrived well packaged and intact. Tape was exactly what we needed.5Work greatLove buying here instead of in store. More options and better price.5Mediocre. Hardly tamper-evident and extremely expensive. I figured I would try the Brother brand security tape first to establish a baseline and I'm disappointed. On multiple surfaces you can just peel them off with no pattern left behind. That is if you can even get it to stick in the first place. In many of our test applications it came unstuck on its own after only a few days. On then few that we could get to leave a mark it could be scratched off with a fingernail. It appears to be some type of vinyl base similar to latex paint when it dries. I've had better luck with aftermarket tapes overall so we will see how they do. 3Tamper Evident Labeling Tape What tamper evident means is that, while it's possible to peel this tape off, doing so messes up the tape such that there is no way to re-stick it so that your screwing about isn't obvious. Let's say you want to place serial numbers on your capital equipment. It would become impossible for someone to move your serial number from one computer (for example) to another. Also, when the tape is peeled off, half the adhesive remains on the tape while half is left on the object--and depending on the age of the tape it can be anywhere from darn difficult (fresh) to darn damn hellishly difficult (several years old) to clean the adhesive off the object.The white background color is the adhesive. When peeled up it leaves a checkerboard pattern of stuck-to-tape/stuck-to-object (3mm squares). So you get small white squares of goo left on the object. If not careful while handling the tape before you stick it down, bits of adhesive can stick to your fingers. This leaves clear "holes" along the edges of your label. Also, Brother changed the construction of the tape a few years ago. The newer tape is thinner and more flexible--a plus IMO. Brother's tamper evident tape comes only in this color and only in this width.Anyway, it's not that some dirty-rat-bastard won't ever be able to remove your labels, but that they will never be able to reuse your labels somewhere else. If this is what you want then this is the label tape for you. 5Durable label tape This is the genuine Brother laminated tape. The Brother tape is very durable and sticks very well to clean surfaces. We use it to identify tools and certification of gages at a world renown manufacturer of heavy equipment. We have used this product for over 10 years now. Labels must last 1- 3 years on gages and 3 months on daily used tools. 5Perfect, Just what I neededCustomer had specified labels for some panels we had installed with white on blue 3/4" labels. This worked perfectly and met our guidelines.5Everything I expected Good visibility of print, very good adhesion on most surfaces. Can get several readable lines of text, so tape isn't wasted.UPDATE 2/3/15: At this point I've used the tape in quite a few applications -- some very hard-to-adhere things to (like a textured leather case, and even cloth). But the tape performs well under all circumstances. I've used the 1 inch as well. I suggest trimming the corners of the tape, or rounding the ends, as it will reduce the tendency for the tape to get lifted at those points. But that suggestion applies to ANY tape you want to keep in place. No problem either with the printing fading or being rubbed off the tape. Happy camper here. Amazon seems to have the best price after checking lots of websites. 5An all PurposeLlabel Tape I use this in my P-Touch labeler, and have always bought the genuine tapes from Brother. Always used it in my classroom and for at home jobs such as files and other office business. I am often teased by my family but I cannot even imagine not having my label maker, and I have never changed brands! 5This does well.This has worked very well for making labels for use in my shop.5Tape Highlights my foldersI needed to organize my filing cabinet, so I have been using a labeler. I needed something to make certain folders very easy to find, as this year the students "lose" these materials and need them replaced OFTEN. I thought doing them in this blue would be enough of a color to stand out in a crowded filing cabinet, and it does that well.I am very pleased, and if I can figure out how to upload a picture of my filing cabinet, I will.5Good/Good dealI have tried other manufacturers version of this item and they work but if you need high quality then pay a little more and get the official Brother tapes.....5Beautiful for Dark Backgrounds ... I am doing some major organizing in my house these days, and this turned out too cute! I used this tape to label a makeup box that I purchased on amazon!! The only thing I didn't really like --which had to do more with the label maker: (Brother Printer PTD600VP) --is that it seemed it wasted a lot of the label tape (which can get expensive) --so in an attempt to stop it from feeding through, I hit the power off button after every word!! I thought I had a setting in the wrong default, but I did have the cut setting set to "Small Margin" ---maybe it's a user error, but when I let it just print, it would just continue to spit my clear blank tape out ---which i attempted to wind back in the cassette unsuccessfully. Although this happened, I was still able to manage labeling my new cosmetic box, and I am very pleased with it. :-) 5Five StarsGreat price, fast shipping!5Best all-weather tape! I grow lots of perennials and don't always remember their names. I asked some people who must label their prize winning day lilies what type of tape they recommend. This is what they use. The names do not wear off, in spite of the weather (even snow). I have used other types of label tape in my garden and ended up very unhappy with the results. Come spring, all the information is gone! Who wants to do all that work all over again? Plus, it's extremely annoying because you don't remember the names and locations of your plants, just have a blank label! So, I, too, highly recommend this product. "Once and done!" 5Five StarsPretty color!5Disappointed with RED color I use my Brother label printer to print cap labels for my bottles with essential oils. I have 6-7 different colors. The labels, overall, work great - they stick well and they are very resistant to water, oils, and alcohol. However, the red tape was a disappointment. It is not a deep red, rich color, but an almost pastel-like, slightly orange-ish color which is not bright at all. It is quite similar to orange tape, only duller and slightly redder. From a distance, one cannot confidently distinguish red and orange tapes. Not at all how it looks in the picture. I use different label colors to easily distinguish my bottles and arrange them into trays without even reading the labels, based on the color alone. With this red, it is too close to orange to be useable. 3Waste Way to Much This tape gets the job done and does it well. The issue is the way the Brother printer cuts off 1/2 inch each time it prints. Just really infuriates me. There is no logical reason for this, NONE! The only reason is to get you to buy more tape. If I did not already own the printer I would try to find an alternative just for that reason. For a product people want to love they make it the product you hate. 2White on blue 3/4 inch tapeProduct performs well and the wide tape allows multiple lines of text which are still readable. Have used the product for less than one month and expect it to continue performing well.5
