Customer Reviews

Excellent I use these on all my Nikon D3100 lenses. Not much to say about them other than they don't leave glares or spots on your photo's and keep your lens protected.I occasionally get a little sand/dirt/dust in between the lens and the filter but a little forced air gets it off.Would definitely recommend and can't beat the price. 5Five Stars Well made and threads smoothly with lens. 5A UV filter is essential camera lens insurance. When ... A UV filter is essential camera lens insurance. When I lost the first one, I kept my camera at home until the replacement arrived. Really, a photographer needs one of these for every lens! 5HOYA FILTERS Even though a DSLR CAMERA does not require a UV filter, I have one on every lens to protect the exposed first lens. It's inexpensive lens insurance. Hoya filters are high quality. I've used them for 45 years on both film SLR's and my DSLR Nikons and never had a problem. 5Most bang for the buck. I highly recommend Hoya filters, especially the Multi Coated Glass Filters, to anybody doing "bang for the buck" kind of searches. These filters, in my opinion/experience, gives you the highest returns to what you invest. I saw the difference right away and I love it. If you are not hurting for money, I would recommend to going for B+W F-Pro. Picture quality difference between B+W and Hoya is not noticible but it is just a factor of build quality. I am an enthusiast/amateur so don't take my word as a verdict :) add your experience and/or others opinions to your judgement. 5Great product! Works great. Very happy with the product, didn't alter the photos at all. Will buy more as needed. 5Hoya UV Multi Coated Glass Filter Very well made I am a keep a filter on each lens type of guy, since this is a Multi Coated Glass Filter it is the same (or close to) the front element. 5Excellent filter I bought this for my new Nikon 50mm 1.8. So far, I'm really satisfied with it. It doesn't show any glare when I looked at it from multiple angles, which indicates it has a really nice coating that won't degrade your image quality, unlike some cheaper ones. (I'm aware that pros would think otherwise, that UV filter does reduce image quality, but for my daily use, I don't see any differences, even at 100% magnification of f/8 shots.)Do spend a little bit more and get a brand-name multicoated filter when you need protection for your lenses. I used to buy the cheapest ones that I could find, but after trying out some brand-name filters (Sigma, Hoya), I was blown away. 5The glass gives more than paid for. I will say this now. If you expect this $14 filter to some how enhance your shots; you need to look elsewhere and expect to pay more. Walking around different parts of my city almost everyday with a camera ready to shoot. Filters are my lens caps. This cheap filter from Hoya does everything I need. It keeps my lens safe and doesn't flare or mess up my shots when it's on. It also doesn't rattle, shake or attract dust as I saw in comments. Overall it's only a slight adjustment from a bare lens.If you have time to setup a shot take the filter off. Nothing beats a bare lens. But for those no warning shots this filter is just right. 4UV filter seems well made for the money 4
