Customer Reviews

Wouldn t keep it even if it was a gift Tested it out. Immediately boxed it back up for a return. The old ones sounded a lot better which is why the name is so popular. Sound quality just was not there for the price. Not even close. If you just listen at a low volume, then it s fine. But either way, spend less for a better sound. Some of the iHome brand ones sound amazing with great bass and crisp highs for 1/3 less. 1Power on/off and volume check is done with a really loud annoying voice, otherwise it's great. I know this is older and I got it for about 80% of it's original retail price when it was new, but I needed a cheap, and small speaker for me home office. The sound for it's size is great, it manages to produce some decent bass, nothing earth shattering but it'll fill a bedroom easy.My main complaint is their software, it makes an incredibly loud noise when starting up or powering off, and the only way to check the battery is to press the power button and this voice says the amount but it practically yells it at the max volume. I don't want to sound like I'm exaggerating but the voice is SO loud, I typically listen to podcasts at maybe 30-40% volume max, this loud voice is just a thorn in the side of an otherwise 5/5 star speaker. 4Great value and quality Originally, I had many issues with this speaker but it turns out that the issue was with my computer and not the speaker itself. If your device does not hold a charge at all, I recommend looking up the Jawbone Updater. This fixed the problem and saved me from having to go through the exchange process.Although this speaker is tiny, it fills a decent sized room. Perfect if you want to be able to hear your music from across the room, but don't want to upset your neighbors.Sound quality is great, much better than other speakers I have had in the past.Construction of the speaker feels good in your hand. Does not feel cheap because nothing is rattling around inside the speaker and it has a good weight to it.Battery life is good, I can use the speaker for a couple hours each day and only charge it about once or twice a week.Speaker comes with a USB charging cable (no wall adapter but you can use it with any adapter you already have) and an AUX cable. 5Great battery life I absolutely love this mini speaker! It is super portable and the sound quality is great for its size. Even the bass is pretty good for such a small speaker. I use this pretty much all the time, and I love that you can use it with bluetooth or an aux cord. It lets you know when the battery is getting low and charge time is fairly fast. Plus the batter life is pretty great. It connects very quickly to my phone. I've had no issues with this speaker and I've had it for a couple years now. I would definitely buy this again and I recommend this speaker to pretty much everyone I know. 5OK. Not industry leading anymore. Get something else. Disappointing volume. Get yourself a AOMAIS Ball. It's cheaper, louder, sounds the same, and full submersible. Jawbone made a good initial effort with it's first product. Then the Jambox Big came out, and I purchased one of those. However, now the industry is flooded with Bluetooth speakers and this just does not do anything special at it's price point. There are others that are louder, sound just as good or better, and are cheaper. I still love my Jambox Big, 3This mini Bluetooth speaker is powerful and delivers great sound for it's size This mini Bluetooth speaker is powerful and delivers great sound for it's size. If you think it's a little pricey, I would have to say the additional money you spend on this product is worth it for the quality of the sound and materials.I bought this item to replace a Bluetooth shower speaker I got on a Groupon deal. The first speaker I received wouldn't pair with any devices and the second one died after a month of use after it indicated for me to plug the device in to charge before damaging the battery. I placed it on a charge and it came back on for 15 seconds approximately before immediately dying again with no warning. The devices controls and buttons on top are large and easy to feel and know what you are pushing even in the dark if you can't see it. I don't know if the play pause button acts as an answer or mute button as I haven't tested that and didn't see anything in the instructions regarding the feature of receiving phone calls when connected to the speaker. I am happy to see that it takes a micro USB charging cable just like most cell phones and other devices. If you like R&B or Dubstep music with a lot of deep bass sounds you will be happy with this speaker. This speaker handles other sounds good a well but I feel it was intended to handle the mentioned areas best. I don't like walking around with ear-buds in and I listen to audio books a lot and tend to use the speaker mostly for audio books. 4Well-built, great sounding speaker. I'm really sorry to hear that Jawbone is going out of business because their bluetooth speakers sound amazing. It's a crowded market now, but the Jambox and Mini Jambox were some of the first really good portable bluetooth speakers. They've only improved over time and this model is fantastic. I packs a LOT of sound into such a small package and delivers better bass than other speakers I have tried at twice the size and twice the cost. These things sold for $200 when they first hit the market. Now you can pick one up for under $50. They were worth the $200, they are sure as heck worth $50 or less. These also hold up. My original one is now six years old, has been heavily used, and while the battery doesn't last quite as long as it once did, the thing is still going strong. I highly recommend this little speaker. 5Spend Your Money on a Different Brand! Don't waste your money! I bought this through Amazon in July 2016, based on the good reviews. Several months later, it continued to pair but produced no sound. All the resets and software updates were a waste of time. It was still under warranty, out of the time span to return it to Amazon, so I contacted the company (you can only do this by email), six times requesting information on returns. No answer. I then found this buried, not under Support, where it should be, but in their company info way down in legal, under warranty:"To obtain remedies under this Warranty, Jawbone must receive Consumer's claim before the end of the Warranty Period. Consumer must obtain a Return Material Authorization ("RMA") from Jawbone and return the defective Device together with proof of purchase to the address specified by Jawbone in connection with the RMA. Consumer shall bear the cost of shipping the Device to Jawbone." There is a link to request that RMA that has not worked for over three months. What shameful customer service! If you are going to buy anything Jawbone, I suggest you do it through a store because you will at least be able to exercise your warranty. But any company that goes to that degree to avoid supporting their customers, is not worth patronizing when there are so many other companies who do provide support. 1Extremely impressive for such a small package After having both a Jambox and a UE Boom demonstrated for me recently, I knew I wanted a small portable speaker like this to replace my worn out old (and huge) stereo set up. When I saw the Mini Jambox on sale, I jumped at it, and am glad I did.The Mini Jambox doesn't have quite the volume or bass that the regular Jambox does, but it comes close. I does have the same clarity and uncanny ability to create stereo separation from such a tiny little set up. The UE Boom has far superior volume and bass, and even cleaner sound, but it's more than twice the size and costs more than twice what I paid for the Mini Jambox, so I'm cool with that. I may get one of those later, but for now this suits my needs perfectly. The most impressive part is how dimensional the sound is, especially after updating the firmware and enabling LiveAudio. I have a number of binaural tracks (not the ones that supposedly change brainwaves, the ones that simulate three dimensional sound when listened to with headphones or a good set of stereo speakers), and with LiveAudio enabled I would swear there are multiple speakers in the room with me. Closing my eyes on one track, I could tell that the drummer was forward and to the left a bit, the lead guitar was to my left, and the rhythm guitar was to my right, but not as far. You don't get as much of a sense of distance as you do with headphones, but still, the effect is downright freaky. So, there are better options out there (the UE Boom being one that I know is phenomenal), but for the price and size, I'm blown away by the Mini Jambox. 5THE Best Portable Speaker Available I have purchased over a dozen of these, and have three personally. It is my go to gift for pretty much everyone in my life. I have tried 5-6 different portable speakers over the years, and have a running debate with my son who prefers the form factor of the UE Roll 2 better, as he can strap it to his backpack when he runs and to his motorcycle when he rides. The MiniJambox holds up better than all the others when it comes to clarity and fidelity of the music. It is not the loudest, nor does it have the most bass, but the sound reproduction puts ALL the others to shame The design and build quality is superb, the battery life is exceptional, and the product just keeps on working (my oldest is now 4 or 5 years old now). An outstanding product I would recommend to everyone! 5
