The Composer Pro II with Edge 80 is an 80mm f/2.8 tilt photography solution with a 12-blade adjustable aperture. Tilt the lens in any direction to get a slice of focus through your image, similar to the tilt effect in a tilt-shift lens. Draw attention to details from edge to edge, through objects in both the foreground and background, and reveal smooth, round bokeh at 80mm. Frame portraits with purpose, create miniature scenes, and much more. For added versatility, when pointed straight ahead the Composer Pro II with Edge 80 can be used just like a high- quality 80mm prime lens. When tilted, the width of the slice of focus depends upon the aperture used. Brighter apertures produce a thin slice of focus with lots of blur to isolate your subject from their surroundings while darker aperture get more of your scene in focus. The placement of the slice of focus depends upon the degree and direction of tilt. Tilt a little for a subtler effect or a lot to get a crisp slice of focus through your image. Rotating the aperture dial on the front of the lens changes between apertures from f/2.8 through f/22. The Edge 80 also features a special close-focus function, extend the front of the optic to focus as close as 17 away from your subject. The Edge 80 Optic is part of the Lensbaby Optic SwapTM System.
