Customer Reviews

Works flawlessly with a Mac I received both mouses on time (I had to look up the correct word to use here because I wasn t sure if the plural of mouse is mice or mouses in the computing sense; both words are perfectly acceptable), and both were in excellent condition. It took me less than 5 minutes to get both mouses working with their respective laptops - two Mac laptops. My sister and I have both been using our mouses for approximately 2 weeks now and they have been working flawlessly with our laptops. The mouse glides over the mousepad with ease and very little effort.I would highly recommend turning the mouse off when you re not using it so that the battery will last longer. (One double A battery comes with the mouse, so you don t have to go out and purchase one.) My sister and I are extremely pleased with our mouses thus far. So we d definitely have to say great product, great service, zero complaints!! 5Figured it Out When I first got this mouse as a replacement for the old one that had gone bonkers after several years of use, I bought another one. It would not unify with the keyboard initially, and I finally had to do a google search on how to do that. Turns out you need the logitech unifying software. Once installed the process goes smoothly. However, the very limited information included with the mouse does not mention the need for the software to unify the two devices. Logitech needs to include that somewhere in or on the packaging. 5Nice for the price This mouse does what I need it to do. I m using it with a Windows 10 laptop computer so a variety of surfaces come into play. The mouse has worked perfectly on my glass top table, my wood desk and the arm of the leather chair that I sit in while watching TV. This is particularly useful when I connect the TV to the laptop to stream a movie or other show. The mouse controls the laptop from across the room( about 20 feet). Nice. 5Limited functionality with Mac, El Capit n I've owned many Logitech mice, and wanted to stick with the brand: they make comfortable, reliable, reasonably-priced devices. This mouse, like all I've owned, is a perfect size, and has a good feel to it. But in spite of extensive research before buying it, and hanging out on their "Support" site afterwards, I've realized that Logitech, for one, has decided to pretty much ignore the needs of Mac-heads. I have a mid-2014 Retina MacBook Pro, running El Capit n; as the description says, the M325 "works with" Mac, that is, it scrolls and has left and right clicks. But it cannot be configured with Logitech software (either "Control Center" or "Options"), so if what you want is full functionality (eg. assign special tasks to center wheel click and double clicks, modify scrolling speed to any significant extent, much less move left and right by tilting the wheel), fuhgetdaboudit. If you dig deep enough in the Support "Community" exchanges you discover this, but heaven forbid there should be ANY indication in the description of the product or on the Logitech software download page that your getting limited capability and the software will be about as useful as worry beads. Less, actually. I find this extremely irritating, and bordering on false advertising. The USB receiver slips in perfectly and the mouse takes off without a hitch, so in that sense it IS plug and play... Whether the "Unifying" capacity would function I can't say, the Logitech Easy-Switch keyboard I bought at the same time (and LOVE) is not a "Unifying" device... 3Reliable wireless mouse After using another Logitech wireless mouse for almost seven years, it was time to buy a new one because the other one was starting to act a little funky. I leaned toward this brand because I was so happy with my previous mouse and I've been a fan of Logitech products since around 2001. I ordered the silver one and immediately began using it. It was very easy to connect- all you have to do it plug the little USB piece into one of your USB ports and turn the mouse on (of course once loaded with a AA battery). I like that the new models have a much small USB piece so it isn't at risk of getting hit and broken off while plugged in to your computer. However, I miss the feature of being able to slide and attach the USB piece to the mouse for storage and travel. The mouse click sounds are a little bit louder than my old model, but that could be age-related. The mouse performs perfectly and I am very happy with it. 5Too small for my hand, scrool wheel too 'loose' This is a small mouse, might be an advantage for some, but not for me. Harder to hold due to it's lack of length. It uses a single AA cell (not short life AAA), there is a power switch on the bottom. As with all of these, the USB receiver is stored inside the body of the mouse under the battery cover. The issue (other than size) is the lack of 'drag' to scroll wheel. There is little to no 'drag' to it which I see as a disadvantage. And the cost is higher than other choices which perform better overall.Longevity I will not know since it was returned. 2Very little to complain about. CONS:-Click wheel turns too smoothly. Not really a problem for scrolling (even though I prefer the feel of a mouse with more clearly defined "notches" as you turn the wheel). But it's very annoying if you're in the habit of clicking the wheel to open new tabs, etc; it ends up registering as me clicking to go back 2-3 web pages.-I wish the receiver dongle could be smaller or rounded off so that it doesn't catch when I'm sliding my laptop into my bag. I realize that every wireless mouse has basically an identical receiver, but I still wish somebody'd improve on the design.PROS:-Literally everything else. It's a good compact size for slipping into my bag, the battery life is spectacular, it's responsive and accurate, and I like the option of stowing the receiver dongle inside the battery housing. Great little mouse, and the above minor gripes wouldn't keep me from buying it again, especially at the price it's being offered. 4Two years before it started to die! Yep, two years is how long I've used this mouse (give or take a week) and today the left mouse button is becoming noticeably difficult to use.Pros: I use a computer a lot so it's nothing to use a mouse eight hours in a day; two years isn't bad for a little bitty mouse like this. This was my first wireless mouse and I'm a convert.Battery life was good too.Cons: Concave undercarriage makes my hand hurt so I have to be careful how I place it.The scroll wheel was always a little weird and I'd have to put my finger at its base in order for it not to move before I could click it. 4Ready to go out of the box, low-cost, and works all the time A wireless mouse should turn on instantly and have a battery that lasts basically forever. I bought this last year when I ordered a Chromebook for use on same, since I don't like touch pads. The wireless dongle/receiver is very low profile and because I treat the Chromebook with reasonable care, it's safe to leave in all the time, rather than to take in and out repeatedly. The mouse is powered by a single AA battery accessed via a slide-out battery door (not a screw-secured one). There is a place to put the wireless receiver in that compartment, as well.Chromebooks turn on and are ready to go very shortly after you lift the lid, so my concern was that I'd have to wait for the mouse to do the equivalent of wake-up and stretch exercises before it was ready to work. Not so. By the time the screen is on, the mouse is working. I have several Logitech products that have worked for years, in one case, a decade (their roller-ball mouse model T-B/C21) with daily and hard use.I'd recommend this product to anyone who wants a low-cost wireless mouse that punches above its weight class. 4The Pictures Speaks a 1,000 Words I just received this product from Amazon and I am very disappointed. Please see the attached phots as this is a show and tell review:1. Scuff marks on the 4 pads showing prolonged use (this was used and I paid for new)2. The battery removal tab was just placed there and not correctly secured as is in a new product (again, evidence of used product)3. Please check the logo (Logi) on the dongle and compare with all other Logitech Mouse and feel free to draw your own conclusions. Matter of fact, please compare it with the photo that is on this review that Amazon provides as how the product should look.I hope I have provided a helpful feedback utilizing the information provided strictly by Amazon using an example of the photo posted by Amazon as the product being sold. 1
