Misleading details, doesn't come with face plate. Product description is little misleading as to doesn't comes with face plate, which is very important when you are buying a uncommon color fitting. 3Lutron phone help exceptional, and great switch too I've done a lot of electrical work, and on install this didn't work in my 3 way setup.So why the 5 star review? Because I called the toll free Lutron number at 7PM (PDT) on a Monday night. A smart man answered, and talked me through fixing a mistake I'd made in wiring it. He stayed with me on the phone while I opened a second electrical box and described how the 2nd switch in the circuit was wired. (Incidentally, if you're replacing a 3 way switch, don't assume the wires in the box with match the colors on the dimmer- take a picture of your original switch wiring before cutting wires (duh)).Amazing. Didn't even think someone would answer the phone... Plus the switch works great and you can leave it a a dimming level you like while turning just on/off. Plus it matches similar on/off switches in the same box. 5Super Easy Install Replace an old Lutron Dimmer and it was super easy to replace and use! Replaced all my old incandescent lights with LED and this Dimmer could take care of the load! 5It looks good, and was easy to install It looks good, and was easy to install. It dimmed my 200 Watts of LED lights, with a good range of low to high luminosity. However, at mid range there is an low but audible hum (60 or 120 Hz). It's hard to tell, but it might the lights humming. 4Get the appropriate wattage and bulbs Lutron makes dimmers for various total wattages. Get one that's at least enough for your needs. And be sure to check with the dimmer and bulb manufacturers to find out if the Lutron will work with your bulbs without humming. Not all bulbs will work without humming. I know. One of my Lutrons hums (so I turn up the music a little) 4Ok for a switch but getting cheaper *Click* *Click* That's the sound this makes when turning on and off. These didn't used to click. They used to be smoother. It just sounds and feels cheap. That said, they work fine. 3No-hassle LED dimmer I bought this dimmer to use with the "SleekLighting GU10 LED, 8 Watt, Dimmable ,550 lm, Light Bulb Spotlight, Recessed, Track Lighting. Ac 120v UL Listed (Pack of 4)" led bulbs that were a Gold Box buy a few weeks back (https://www.amazon.com/SleekLighting-Dimmable-Spotlight-Recessed-Lighting/dp/B0156X9416). Note that these bulbs are not on their approved list (pretty short list). This was to replace a Maestro dimmer that was already in place (it flickers with LEDs).Single pole installation was as easy as installing a switch ever could be. A few wires and screw it back in. Functionally, everything worked just as advertised.The one suggestion I have for the product managers would be that the minimum light level needs to be about half what it is now. Its pretty low now, but nowhere close to the dimness you can get with incandescent. Of course, using bulbs from the approved list may have better dimming behavior.In the end, I kept this dimmer in place over the Leviton DSM10-1LZ because it didn't flash when turning on (see my Leviton review). Even though the minimum on the Leviton was lower, I preferred a higher minimum with no flash. 4Needs some more engineering; but looks good. Just a little more thought would have made this product so much better.The main problem is that it is difficult to mount two or three switches like this on the same gang into an electrical box because the holes the screws go into cannot be seen after one screw is even partially in. If Lutron had provided screws an inch longer this would not have been an issue. I had to buy screws to install the switches (or spend one heck of a lot of time getting the shorter screws to work.)The unit has heat sinks that must be broken off if other switches are in the same gang. It would have been so easy to take just a little bit of metal off of the heat sinks so the switch could fit without breaking off the heat sinks. If the switch next to this switch is not a dimmer there is no reason it has to be as wide as they are. That also would have fixed the problem for some installations.The product does not dim the LED lights I have as well as the product designed for incandescent lights. When the lights are turned on they turn on then turn off and then turn on. The adjustment on the switch does not fix this. In Lutron's defense, the LEDs I have are not listed as ones that Lutron recommends or has tested. 3Works great with LED lights We are converting our church building to all LED lighting. In the sanctuary the dimmer switches for 12 ea PAR 38 incandescent lights had to be 4" x 4" with cooling fins on the outside. Because of the way the original work was done, this resulted in a switch panel behind the audio booth that was large, and because of the location there was no good way to cover the opening into the wall and still maintain access to the wiring in that area. But the old dimmer switches don't work well with dimmable LED lights. With these we can put all the switches in a fraction of the space, sheetrock the opening, and install an access panel to easily reach wiring. 5I would recommend the Lutron MAELV-600-WH instead or perhaps the other ELV I tried this with 19 Cree DR6 lights and there was a ton of buzzing from all the lights.
