I can't begin to say how glad I am that I found this I can't begin to say how glad I am that I found this. I looked for weeks for something until I stumbled on this and was surprised by the price ($54ish at purchase) considering the best option I found before it was in the $70's. Overall, it's a great value and I was pleased with how easy it was to install. While the plastic does feel a little weak, if you are patient and do things carefully, it's fine. You honestly would have to be violent to break it. The brushes will slide out if you don't put a small piece of painters or electrical tape over the ends but this wasn't a big deal.Despite what others have said, I crammed about 6 cables through both plates, the last 1 or 2 were difficult but I was able to make it work. This includes 4 HDMI, 1 CAT6e, 1 Optical, and 1 Xbox Kinect cord. I read one review that said you can't fit cords with the bulky thing near the connection but I fit the Kinect cord through and the thing on that connector is massive...seriously. You just have to work it through the plate and be patient.Reasons for 4 instead of 5 stars:-Plastic feels a little weak, but that's usually the case with plates like these-Paint on heads of screws comes off while screwing the plates to the wall-Kit should come with wider base plate to match wider opening in top plate-As other reviewers have stated, I don't think you should be able to unscrew the notch so far the thing falls off into the wall-As other reviewers have stated, the brushes will slide out during install so I recommend adding a small piece of painters or electrical tape to cover the opening on the sides 4Does NOT work with latest Samsung power cords (9000 series UHD/4K TVs) Buyer beware. Does NOT work with latest Samsung power cords (9000 series UHD/4K TVs). 2Great kit for concealing wires behind the wall! Great product for hiding wires behind the wall. I purchased this product to conceal my wires/cables for my wall mounted tv. The kit includes everything you need except the drywall saw and stud finder. It was super easy to do and took me about 40 minutes from beginning to end, including clean up. For the record, I'm not a handy man, but a mom who can do things with clear directions. I used the kit to conceal the wires of my wall mounted tv in my room and had absolutely no problems. I love it so much that I intend on buying 3 more in the near future to hang all the tv's in the house! 5Greatest idea for TV installs! I was redoing my living room and needed to bury the wires in the wall. I had thought about just using wall plates with a giant hole in them, which I did and then realized how many wires I had. I also ran into a common problem, the power cord for the TV is too short to go through the wall, and using an extension cord is a plain old dumb idea, not to mention potential fire hazard. I looked at some other options and this is the one I came up with. It installed in a breeze, I just had to make my holes a bit bigger. There is plenty of room for media wiring, which right now I have a bunch of HDMI cables in there in case I need to add on at some later date. The dual outlets help out a lot because I have AppleTV and since that needs a power cord, I bought a mount for that to the back of the TV and just plugged it right in. It helps declutter, not sure about painting it, don't really need to in my scenario. 5Works great! Exactly what I needed. I'm very handy and had done drywall work in the past, and with my new apartment complex giving the green light to run wires in the wall I immediately set out to find a code-spec solution. I can do romex, but didn't want to modify existing infrastructure (IE undoing an outlet to run another drop from it). Additionally, I wanted the ability to place my TV behind a battery backup with the rest of my equipment which would not be possible with a romex installation.PowerBridge seemed to be the best solution, and now that it is installed - I'm quite satisfied.I'm fairly convinced that even your less-handy homeowner could accomplish a power bridge install after watching a few videos and doing some research. It even comes with a template for your cuts, just mark around the edges and stick as close to it with your drywall saw as you can.In my installation, I had to make a pumpkin cut half way and drill through a cross bracing (It was *not* a fire block) to complete my install, which would be a little advanced for your average DIY to do as patching a pumpkin cut can be a bit tricky to get it done right. For the first time I'm able to have 0 visible cables running to my wall mounted TV, and safe in the knowledge that the power drop is to code. The ability to disconnect the TV at the bottom is pretty handy - thus the aforementioned battery backup installation.Installation is really dead simple, just remember to not over tighten the flanges that hold them in place, they are plastic. 5Good, but not as good as prior powerbridge equivalent products. I bought a (now discontinued) PowerBridge product (the TSCK) previously and I was sold on these things to the extent that buying the TWO-CK was a no-brainer.However, this is not a better replacement for the earlier product and for the purposes of specifically reviewing this item, does identify a number of things I really don't like.- Generally weaker plastic. I don't know if it is cheaper - feels so to me.- The wings that flip as you turn the screw in order to secure this to the dry wall (remodeling box style mounting) are thin and weak. They are an awful lot thinner actually, harder to screw and it seems to me, easier to break.- As a result of the above, also harder to unscrew. I found it entirely possible to unscrew and the wing wouldn't free itself. This can put you in a position where you unscrew too far and lose the wing into the cavity, rendering the product useless. Installer error maybe? Well, I think intuitively you'll keep unscrewing if the unit is still tight to the wall so I think this is a fault with the product.- The brushes (that cover the cavity through which you feed the cables) slide out of the units just by holding it a certain way. If you don't know this, you do risk losing the brushes in the wall cavity. Either these need to be more secure or the version on the prior product is better. You can actually just accidentally slide it out while pushing a cable through too (don't need to hold it a certain angle) - the brushes resist this and thus can move sideways as they do. It can be challenging to keep the brushes in place.- The upper unit (the one that goes behind the TV) has a housing/protrusion for the electrics and this hangs down right behind where the brushes are. This partially obstructs the passage of wires - it can be a little more difficult to feed big connections (such as VGA plugs) through, or...more connections when you've passed a handful of cables through already. Seems odd to create a product that obstructs what is intended to be a place to pass cables through. Not a bad product but this iteration seems a step back to me. You can work with all this though. 3The product is very self explanatory and an easy DIY project without hiring a handyman Prior to purchasing this product I looked into various wall sleeves and other cable cover kits but nothing looked as appealing as the PowerBridge.Received the PowerBridge One-CK Recessed In-Wall Cable within two days and the product included detailed instructions with a wall mounting template. The product is very self explanatory and an easy DIY project without hiring a handyman. Prior to cutting holes into the wall ensure you are not cutting into electrical wires therefore I suggest to invest in a good Studsensor finder with electrical Wire Warning (can be purchased at Amazon for under $20). This is very fools prove and can't get any easier as this..... The only suggestion I have for the manufacturer is perhaps include a surge protector but other than that fantastic product. 5Dead simple install I purchased this along with their soundbar version as well (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HIYACAE) and the install could not have been more easy or foolproof. It comes with templates that you trace on your wall in between studs. Cut out the drywall with a jab saw, drop the wires, connect them up and plug it in. Took me all of about an hour to install including cleanup and mounting. Highly recommended. See pics to see how clean the setup is. 5Not happy It took a lot longer than 1/2 hour like it says, second we got the bottom to go in fine but the top was wider (the back that goes in the wall) and wouldn t go all the way into the wall! Then we lost the little flip up tab IN THE WALL! Ok so needless to say my husband was NOT happy with me at all for not only purchasing this but the fact he had to install it. Then on top of that, he made fun of the big bulky power supply that bridges the power to the box. He said that looked just as stupid as having a wire run down your wall...so finally found the plastic piece in the wall using a shop vac, got it installed, but I would have returned it had I not already had giant holes in my wall! 1 Star for being in big trouble with my husband! 1Excellent product for TV wall mount project Excellent product for TV wall mount project. Its easy to install but you will need fish pool to run electric wires through the wall. My wall had insulation inside, and i was lucky to not have fire breakers in the wall. I am women and was able to do it on my own. 5
