compact Flash has become corrupt... This product became corrupt yesterday, 05/28/2018 I am in the midst of buying recovery software to recover a couple hundred photos...Please address, and send me a higher quality replacement. The recovery cost was just over $42 and about 5 hours of time...SanDisk seems to be in the midst of an RMA replacement...Beware of this product...stand by to see if they replace it, and perhaps reimburse for so much wasted time and money recovery Memorial Day photos...Please advise on higher end Compact Flash if anyone is aware of a better provider...thank you 1Great speed and quality!!! Really like the speed of this card! My previous was also Sundisk, but it was way slower (older version!). I need this one because I have to do a lot of video shooting now, and also I needed to install Magic Lantern on my card, which required high speed. So I'm very happy with this card. And also, few days ago ocean wave covered my camera in very bad way.. it's stopped shooting for a day...but all photos in card were safe! So it has really great quality! 5Great quality, fast card from SanDisk. I needed a CF-card for my Canon 7D Mark II camera, which I recently purchased. I only trust SanDisk Memory cards anymore, even if the price is higher than other brands. I had some bad luck with other brand cards, even a highly popular brand SD card in the past. This is the first CF-Card that I have ever needed, but since I have never had a problem with SanDisk in the past, I chose this. I have their products in my 3 tablets, my smart phones and cameras. I will get another one when this one gets full, rather than format it, and keep it as a backup for my pictures. 5Works as Advertised! I received this card the other day and was curious how it would perform in my Canon 5D Mark III, so I tested it against some of my other high speed cards. Obviously you are paying a premium for the write speed, so I wanted to make sure I got what I paid for, so to speak. Here's what I came away with:Camera Settings-Canon 5D Mark III with battery grip - 2 fully charged batteries (grip doesn't matter)-Freshly in-camera formatted CF cards-ISO 100, 1/8000s, body cap (so f/0, manual focus)-ALO, High ISO NR, vignette removal, CA correction OFF-RAW-High Speed DriveNote: I realize that the body cap photos are all black and real photos will be larger and slow the camera more, but I think that this is the only way to have a 100% reproducible test.Test-Depress shutter fully until the camera slows-Wait for buffer write to finish-Press image review - look at # of images, subtracting the extra frame that indicated the buffer was fullResults-Sandisk 16GB (SDCFX-016G-A61) UDMA 60MB/s read/write speed rated: 19 frames-Lexar 32GB 1000x (LCF32GCTBNA1) UDMA7 - 150MB/s read / 95MB/s write speed rated: 23 frames-Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro (SDCFXP-032G-X46) UDMA6, 90MB/s write speed rated: 25 frames-Sandisk 64GB Extreme Pro (SDCFXPS-064G-X46) 160MB/s read / 150MB/s write speed rated: 35 framesThe new card isn't quite a 50% boost over the previous generation, but it's close, and being able shoot at 6fp for at least 5 seconds straight in a 5DIII is excellent. I'm sure the 1DX, D4, and other cameras would also benefit from the card. 5The best CF card for a professional workflow SHORT VERSION: For those who do not want to read the entire review, let me break it down. These are incredible, and worth every penny. I have used them professionally for a few years, and they have never let me down. If you are looking for a incredible CF card, you have found it.LONG VERSION: To start, let met start off by saying that I am a professional wedding photographer. We photograph roughly between 25-35 weddings a year. We currently have 5 Canon cameras, and 6 of these Sandisk Extreme Pro 128gb Compact Flash cards. The ages range from about 3 years old, to 3 months old. This year alone, we will have taken roughly 4 Terabytes of raw photos. 100% of our photos will have gone through these Extreme Pro cards.Out of the entire time I have owned these cards, they have never let me down. I have never had a failure, never had a corruption. Our cameras are set up with two memory card slots. Most are 1 CF and 1 SD. We also use Sandisk Extreme Pro SD 128gb cards. Our cameras are set to write RAW to both. These cards are the fastest CF that Sandisk offers. The speed not only helps when writing to the card itself (Most cameras max out at about 50-60MBs) but when you are downloading them back to your computer. Thats where they really shine. Use a Lexar HR1 4 bay hub. We have 4 cards downloading at once, and the fast 160MBs speed helps with time.I have attached a screen shot of a speed test performed one of these cards. It was performed by a USB 3 Lexar CFR1 reader. The speeds are lower than what is rated, but that could be my USB3 reader, and not the actual card. When shopping for memory cards, there are several brands. But I 100% believe that Sandisk are the best. We use Sandisk exclusively in every camera we own.I was not reimbursed in any way for this review.Pros:Extremely reliableRelatively inexpensive for the sizeFastest Speeds that Sandisk OffersCons:Not the cheapest on the market.TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT:For proper data management, you should ALWAYS format (not delete) your card inside the camera. Every single time. For proper workflow, it should be downloaded to a computer, put back in the camera, and then formatted. That will ensure that your data is as safe as possible. That has been my workflow, and I have never had a corruption issue. 5Very fast card, can shoot video and take photos without bottoming out I wanted to wait a bit before I reviewed this card, because I was skeptical that it would be much of an improvement over the less expensive cards I've purchased before from Sandisk. My previous best card was 90MB/s and the difference was very noticeable. The biggest difference is when the card is getting to the half full mark, or when you're shooting video over 30 seconds. It's worth the extra cost if you are planning to use this card as your go-to for shooting video, shooting big events in still and video, or you want to bring only one card on a long vacation. 5Extremely reliable, but order more than one Bought 4 cards to use with Magic Lantern on 5D MK 3 for RAW video recording. 1 Card out of four couldn't be read or formatted, but the 3 others worked flawlessly with writing speeds near 101 mb/s and continuous shooting. The same thing happened to me 2 years ago with the 60mb/s ones, where one of the two couldn't be used. Luckily Amazon's return policy allowed me to return the faulty cards. These cards are a bit more expensive than the Lexar ones, but my experience with the Lexar cards is bad: I bought 2 cards and returned both as they both stopped working after one day of heave raw shooting. I used Sandisc for years now and these cards have prooved to be reliable to me. I would recommend buying more than one since I had two experiences with unusable cards. Those that worked, lasted me and were reliable, that's why I am giving 4 stars. 4Good card but not what's pictured in the ad. The card is Sandisk quality. I use it for my Canon 5D MKIII. It's a fast card but my only gripe with it is that I did not receive the card that's pictured in the ad. The card I received does not have the "Gold SanDisk Extreme Pro" header on top. It's all black and looks generic. 4Great for d810 We bought this to go with our Nikon d810. We have loved how well it has worked.Pros:Very fast write speed.Large amount of memory.Cons:none as of yetIs my review missing something?I think that honest, well thought out reviews sometimes are forced to take the place of personal experience while online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from reviews and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and if there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to address it. 5Beware of corruption. I purchased two of these hoping for speed. Instead, we received inconsistent performance and corrupted files. My husband and I both use Canon 5D Mark III cameras and compact flash media all the time as we are both professional photographers. This is the first time we've experienced corrupted files with SanDisk. We had trouble with both CF cards. My husband tossed his and I was hoping to get a refund. Unfortunately I waited too long to take action and a refund is not possible. 1
