Does the job but kinda ugly after light useSo this was at one point an expensive case and I'm not sure if its just the rubber ageing or something else but its flaky and peeling, I am not sure if this is by design. Don't get me wrong the case keeps my phone protected I just didn't expect all the rubber to be flaking off3Don't clean it with rubbing alcohol I ruined the finish cleaning it with rubbing alcohol. It literally melts. Doesn't rip on the sides like the spigen cases do. 4Way, way too stiffI was looking for a light-colored case for the V20 as I live in Florida and phones tend to run hot even without a black case. Couldn't find a good white case so I opted for this clear case. I have had good success with Speck cases in the past, but this one is awful. The TPU is so stiff that it is nearly impossible to get the case off once it's on. I like the V20 because of the replaceable battery, but this case made it feel like I was going to break the phone every time I tried to get it off. I ended up getting the Spigen Rugged Armor, which is also a one-piece TPU case (black, though - ugh). It has the right amount of give - easy to remove but seems like it would protect well.1Perfect fit. Yes the rubber is easily chewed. Still, no case makes the LG v20 like this one. One handablility is its finest point. Fit and finish are perfect, tight, no flimsy slip/slop feel here. It fits and feels great in the hand. Cutouts, headphone jack accessible without a slim adapter, buttons travel/resistance is perfect. Perfect thickness, just enough protection for camera, even makes the power button feel less sloppy. Looks great too. 5Good solid protectionBuild quality is fantastic. Provides good solid protection for the phone. However if there's one thing to nit pick, when you pull it out your pocket one too many times,it looks rather worse for wear along the front lip after 2 weeks of squeezing into a pair of jeans4Meh...too expensive, it's slippery, and the rubber is peeling off after TWO DAYS.*update 2*contacted Speck warranty, and they sent me out another one. they claim the issue shouldn't happen on the new one, so i guess we'll see. i'll update the stars if the new one holds up, but somehow i don't feel it will. the rubber itself may just be defective in that it will start to peel away immediately..which sucks, because i love this case other than that.*update*updating my review after literally 2 days. the blue rubber pieces are already starting to peel. Problem is, where there's no grippy things, the case is slippery. like, super slippery, that you'll probably drop it. now, the grips don't go over the lip of the front, so half your thumb when you grab the grip will slip, while the other half will grip. it just doesn't seem like a great design. sure, it looks cool, and the blue is an amazing color, but in terms of protection? not sure about that. and mind you, this is an f'in $30 case! you can buy cases of equal protection for barely $10...guess it's my own fault I paid $30 for a case, but i really liked how it looked, so i went along with it..but honestly, it's barely worth $5. Face it, drops happen. So you need a case that will protect the phone. The old case when compared to the new case had yellowed a bit, but it wasn't noticeable on the phone. The reason I replaced it is because the sections from the edge to the usb and earphone jack had come off and the corners were starting to separate. For a sub-$10 case, I'll take that! I like that it's clear, relatively thin, and protective.5DisappointedThis was my first Speck case of any kind so I was excited to install it on my phone to see if its reputation for quality, grip and protection were warranted. Unfortunately, I had to stop using this case after a month. While I like the grip the case added to the phone, durability became an issue. The case began to fray at the top, corners and bottom within a week. After 3 weeks of use the case looked beaten up pretty badly.In a month of usage the phone was never dropped. I work in an office and travel in a car. My electronics are never subjected the harsh temps or rough terrain. There was no environmental causes behind the way this case eroded. I hope this was just a one-off use case or outlier situation. Still as a first impression, I find myself unimpressed with Speck and will likely stick with Spigen and UAG in the future.2Ok phone case This was a good case until the rubber portion started peeling. The new Presidio case follows that standard, with the added benefit of being even thinner and lighter than previous models. There was even a short strand of hair under the phone case!For the phone case itself, it is light and slim with all the properly located and sized access to the camera lenses, power button etc. I have not dropped my phone on a hard surface with this case on yet, but it looks like it'll protect the phone just fine.4Great caseVery happy with case.
