  • 8-INCH EXTENSION - Torque extension is 8-inches long to allow easy clearance and prevent damage to wheels by a too close impact wrench
  • RESILIENT STEEL - Made of durable and resilient chrome molybdenum steel
  • PREVENT OVER-TIGHTENING - Prevent over-tightening that can lead to premature failure of wheels, wheel studs, and rotors
  • POWDER COATED - Powder coated blue for additional corrosion resistance and to easily identify it among other extensions and tools
  • FLEXES TO LIMIT TORQUE - When 80 ft-lb of torque is reached the extension will flex and absorb additional impacts instead of continuing to tighten
  • 1/2-INCH DRIVE - Both male and female ends are 1/2-inch drive for use with heavy duty impact wrenches and sockets
  • CALIBRATION FREE - With a pre-determined maximum allowed torque and no moving parts it is maintenance and recalibration free

Customer Reviews

Failed the test Have the 80 ft/lbs limiter. Tested with known good torque wrench and torque was at least 15 ft./lbs. above the limit. Therefore, this is useless to me. Giving it two stars because I think it did work correctly for a short time. 2Great way to not over torque lug nuts using impact gun The extension essentially stops turning after the targeted torque spec on the stick is reached, so your just need to warch the socket when it stops moving. I used this in combination with both electric and air impact gun to get lug nuts close before I came behind with my torque wrench. I was still able to turn the lug nuts with my torque wrench so the value as printed on the stick seemed correct. But only to be used to put lugs on, not to take off! 5A timesaver I bought this to torque my wheels to 80 ft. lbs. as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. It is used with a Craftsman cordless impact wrench and works well when swapping out my take off winter wheels and can be used whenever your wheels are removed. It is a time saver and will save you from warped brake rotors caused by over tightening. 5Good quality, tested to be relatively accurate. Bought this because I do a decent amount of car work. It's the appropriate torque for my lugnuts. Previously I have been using a torque wrench, but at the end of a project it's a pain to screw the lugnuts on, tighten them, drop the car a little (for front wheels), then torque them. It's not hard, but by that time I'm always ready to just put an end to whatever project I'm on.I was hesistant to get a torque limiting bar because I've heard they are innacurate. I've had to replace wheel studs before from accidental overtightening (I didn't break it!) and while it's not hard, it's not fun. Reviews on Amazon were favorable for this, though, so I decided to try it out. I will agree with other reviewers that this bar works well, and I can confirm (with torque wrench) that it's relatively accurate. I'm confident enough with it, at this point, to use it without rechecking torque anymore. 5It definitely works, and is pretty damn close to 100ftlbs. I use this to zap on lug nuts with my impact wrench before final torque is applied with a torque wrench. Its function can be clearly observed and heard while using my electric torque wrench, and every time its very very close to spec and only the slightest of additional torque is applied with my torque wrench.Works as expected, though all final torque values should always be set with a torque wrench. 5Definitely recommended. This is a well made product. I tested it's accuracy and found it to be consistently within 2-3 ft.lbs. of spec. This is close enough for torquing wheel lugs which is all I use it for.Definitely recommended. 5Works Great, Use it Constantly. EDIT: DOES NOT WORK I bought this so I wouldn't overtorque wheels with my impact and so that I wouldn't have to torque wheels by hand with a torque wrench. It works great and it stops the gun exactly at 80 foot pounds of torque. I would highly recommend this! EDIT: Did not torque my wheels to 80 foot pounds. As I was driving at about 35 mph afterwards, I heard a constant clicking noise and pulled over. I discovered that all of the lug nuts were finger tight and I was able to remove them by hand! I am sure I did not err when I used the tool. I gave it power until it stopped rotating the lug nuts. I am going back to using a manual torque wrench. Of course, I didn't actually use the tool until after the return period ended so I'm stuck with a useless and malfunctioning tool. FOOLISH! 1Works as advertised Tried with impact wrench, and torque limitation stops within 2 lbs of listed torque. After stopping, the torque was measured with torque wrench. This must be used with impact wrench. This extension twists upon impact, and the degrees of twist increases as the torque increases. Eventually the extension twists so far that the socket does not move. That's a simple explanation of how it works. Be advised, this torque limiter will not work with an ordinary socket wrench, since that force applied is constant, instead of applied in short bursts or impacts. 5Seems to work mostly ? Final torque on my cars lugs is 96 ft-lbs so this is the closest one without going over I found. I'd say so far using a 1/2" Milwaukee Fuel impact to drive it I can usually get some final lug tightening with my Torque wrench on each nut. Seems a few times the nut won't budge tighter so leaves me wondering. There appears to be some technique involve with using these things, at least for me. If these were perfect, someone would be selling a 95 or 96 ft-lb version surely. 3wildly inaccurate achieves variously 40-60 lbf for the blue 80 lbf specification!the only good thing is that it does not overtorque so I can still use my trusty torque wrench after it to bring the torque to spec but I'd never, never, never trust the torque stick 1
