Great tool to strip wire. Worth every penny Great tool! makes things easier with it.- Easy to adjust the pins. ( clean the tips every now and then )- Mounts easily with a clamp. 5Basic, but perfect. Great tool. Remember, you must adjust the pins. Once you get them dialed in, this thing works like a charm. 5Awesome product Once you figure out how to adjust blades Awesome product Once you figure out how to adjust blades!I found it helpfull for first time use adjusting the cutting blades were easiest when you inserted wire into proper hole then loosened blade ,then tap blade down, then tighten set screw !This is a great product which uses hardly any effort in skinning various sizes of copper wires, you of course do need some common sense and elbow grease to properly set it up.once the proper cutting depth is set it stays set for a long time! One thing to remember make share your copper feed is at the right angle and feeds into it properly! I skinned over 100lbs of various size wire in just about 90 minutes ! Disregard any Negative comments as there are many people that did not use this properly ! 5Proper adjustment of cutting blade Outstanding product. As others have mentioned, once you have the proper depth set for the cutting blade, works like a champ. I have stripped three different sizes of wire with great results 5Excellent Product This tool does an excellent job for what it was designed for. Any new tool requires a bit of usage to get familiar and use it properly and it took me about 15 min to get it right and make easy stripping of multiple wire sizes. I wish I had this tool a long time ago. Will never be without one again. 5Well made. The only thing I would add to ... Well made. The only thing I would add to it is to extend the bottom at least an inch so that it can be placed in a vise. 5well worth the money great little tool, It is sometimes a little difficult getting the depth set just right. But after you do, it works like a charm. In about 3 hours time, I stripped enough copper wire to pay for the tool. 5the best way to use the T N T wire Stripper. I striped copper wire to scrap for Cash it dose what it Sade it will do the best way I found to strip the wire first off I skimmed about 1 and a half inch off the top side of the wire placed the wire into the proper hole lessened the Cutter slightly pressed down on the top of the blade tightened the blade with the Allen Screw using a t Handle alien wrench rather then the cheep l shaped one that came with the tool then use plyers to pull the wire through then with your thumb and pointing Finger on your right hand while holding the wire with your left hand pull in a downward motion your ready for the next wire by the way to make the stripping Simple cut your wire in about 2 foot lengths place wire into a Container of your choice. 5TNT Tooling purchased to start wire stripping... Great tool as seen on You Tube... [...]TNT Tooling WSA Scrap Wire Stripper Ten Ports 5Great tool (once you get it setup correctly) I'll admit, when I first tried this out, I was very frustrated because although this is supposed to be set-up already by the company, it was not working well for me. And the videos made it look SO EASY! Fortunately I had done some research already and figured I needed to set it up myself. After some experimentation, I found a simple way to set this up that I'd like to share. It might save a lot of people some headaches. You'll probably need a magnifying glass of some kind for this.* Take a medium-length piece of insulated wire and using wire cutters, cut one end as flat and even as you can.* Take that end and SLOWLY insert it into the correct hole on the front of the stripper until you feel it stop against the blade. Hold it there.* While still holding the wire in place, take the magnifying glass and look through the hole from the BACK of the stripper.* The optimum setting is where the tip of the blade goes completely through the insulation, without touching the top of the wire core. You don't want it any deeper than that because you might get small shards of wire coming out when you strip it.Now to test it, just push the wire firmly through the hole, and when enough comes through just pull the rest of it through nice and evenlyA couple more tips: After you've scored the insulation, you might want to use a razor blade or box cutter to fully open a couple of inches of your starting point. Once you can grab enough wire, it's smooth sailing from there.. Also some insulation is going to be tougher to work with than others. I had some thick electrical wire that was quite a challenge to split, but once I got it going I had about 3lbs of bare bright.I'd like to note here that you CAN use this without putting it in a vise. It's just way easier to use in a vise if you have a lot to strip. But if you have a small pile to do and don't have access to a vise right away, you can just use your hands. So, Is it worth the investment? IMHO, Absolutely Yes! The key to success with this is setting it up correctly and having a bit of patience. And if you have a decent amount of wire saved up, this will probably pay for itself in your first scrapping session with it. 4
