well designed and easy to install. would have gotten 5 stars but for a confusing label. I searched through hundreds of TV wall mounts before deciding on this one. The feature that cinched the sale was the little arm that tightens and loosens the tilt mechanism. The vast majority of wall mounts that allow you to tilt the TV are more of a "once and done" adjustment requiring a wrench. This one lets you adjust it easily. The plate that attaches to the TV also removes from the arm (not all wall mounts are like this) and attaches to the arm easily and firmly, allowing one-person installation with no gymnastics of balancing the TV while trying to attach it to the plate. It includes 4 different size bolts and washers for attaching to your TV; apparently TVs have not standardized to one thread size for the mounting holes so you will have lots of left over parts. The baggie of hardware has a label that was a bit confusing, thus the 4 stars instead of 5 - it says that the hardware is only for mounting on concrete block walls and that the hardware is not to be used to mount in wood (studs). ??? There was only one baggie of hardware, containing 3 long screws, 3 plastic wall anchors (required for the concrete wall installation, no mention of installing in drywall), all the bolts and washers to mount the unit to your TV, along with 2 hex keys and a small wrench that fit none of the hardware. Someone less experienced with hardware might just throw up their arms at this point. Fortunately the instruction sheet was well written and includes useful graphics. 4Fantastic mount for monitors I purchased this to mount my Acer B326HK 22lb 32" 4K display. I was a little worried about the up to 27" part, however as long as your monitor/tv is under the weight limit and is VESA 75x75 or 100x100 it will work. The mount was very simple to install. Just make sure you locate your studs (and make sure they are wood, this probably wouldn't work in metal studs). There's also tools for installing it for brick or concrete however I did not use them as I mounted in a wood stud wall. I measured it out then drilled the 3 pilot holes. After that its as simple as screwing it into the stud. Then I took the plate off (biggest reason I bought this model; the detachable plate) and screwed it into my monitor. Sliding it onto the mount was a little tricky because my monitors mounting holes are recessed a few millimeters however I eventually got it on. When it is fully attached to the wall it feels incredibly sturdy and I have no worries about the weight of my screen. You should definitely consider this mount if you want to wall mount a display that weighs less then 33lb and has 100x100 or 75x75 mounting holes! 5Good product, but comes with crappy instructions. This is a solid wall mount, works as expected and described. I currently have a 27" ViewSonic display mounted on it, and it moves and adjusts quite smoothly. I would recommend this wall mount to others, if asked. It was also easy to install, which is quite fortunate, since the instructions are both incomplete and actually wrong in places. For example, the list of tools needed includes a "ratchet with a 5/16 inch socket", which appears nowhere in the instructions, though Step 3 calls for using "an open ended socket wrench"-- I'm not sure why, as literally all of the included fasteners (including the lag screws for the wall) are phillips head with a rounded cap, and the only bolt with a hex head in the whole package is not meant to be user-adjusted. It also manages to skip steps (the removal of the TV plate from the arm for installation on the screen between steps 3 and 4, for example) and make a couple of other mistakes. The package even included two Allen wrenches-- again, not sure why as none of the hardware has a hex socket head that could accommodate an Allen wrench; ditto for the included socket/crescent wrench. In the end, it was still easy to install since it's so simple, but I have to take a star off for the bad instruction guide and unnecessary hardware. 4Works well in RV when modifying for HDTV system; Well made product. My review is based upon installing inside a 2007 ultra-lite travel trailer. In summary, this wall mount is an excellent, sturdy, high quality product that I can recommend to RV owners, provided you study out the situation of finding a sturdy stud among the mostly hollow RV walls. The mount MUST attach to a stud or thick cabinet structure or you will risk having your HDTV fall to the floor. This wall mount is super sturdy on its hinges, which is of paramount importance. The hinge tightness can be adjusted with two hex/Allen wrenches, which are provided with the shipment. The three 3 inch wall screws secure this puppy to the wall steadfast as long as you land in a good stud.My travel trailer accommodated a 13 inch analog TV in a doorless cabinet, but could not hold the wider 22 inch HDTV I purchased. The location of the new HDTV needed to be changed. So I ran new coax cable from the back of the existing Winegard RV amplifier in the old TV cabinet through the hidden plumbing and wiring areas of the RV to another wall near the bed and dining table. (Use the auxillary connect of the amplification unit, found on the right side of the back of the amplifier, labeled in plastic... Winegard RV antennas must have the amplifier to work properly, plus this unit is the switch for changing reception from your antenna to campground CATV.) Next, I installed a coax wall plate in a hollow wall after snaking coax up the wall. Previous reviews of this product indicated it came with three 3 inch screws to tie into a wall stud (in a house). The length of the screws concerned me (did not want to go all the way through a wall), but I also liked the idea of three screws, instead of two, like most other mounts had. I found a 1x2 inch vertical facia board alongside a wall stud in the RV in the perfect place. I predrilled holes smaller than the width of the 3 inch screws, soaped the screws, and installed the mount. It is as sturdy as if mounted in the house. I was careful not to drill near any AC power outlet, water pipe, appliance, or gas line. (This is what I mean by saying study the situation.)The TV had holes on the back to screw in the VESA compliant mount that comes with the product. All viewing angle adjustments work with high precision. We would never travel with the TV on the mount (due to highway vibration in transit), so the TV will be stored in its original box for padding. It is easy to remove the HDTV from the wall mount. But the mount can stay on the wall. I will tighten the hinge hex nuts so the arms will not flop while traveling. If you are modifying an RV for HDTV, study out your camper, find sturdy wood or wall studs, identify the coax run, and install. (If your camper is plugged in to 30/50 amp AC power, I suggest unplugging for safety when working in the utility runs with the coax.) I completed the whole project in about three hours. The wall mount itself installed in about 10 minutes, easy. All in all, I spent $25 at Amazon on the wall mount, and about $7 in coax connectors and for the coax wall plate. $32 isn't too bad, considering an RV shop would have charged $250 for the same work, or more. 5Easy, simple, use a wood mount for positive and stable mount Easy to install. Comes with screws for wood and concrete, three each. The wood screws are Phillips head. Would be better if a better torque head like Torx were supplied as it's common to strip Phillips head screws in deep wood. Offers a single wood vertical mount and for my 24" LED, it's more than enough. Didn't use all of the other hardware. The tilt is good, allowing the TV to tilt down enough to get an almost 90 degree straight on view from 10 feet away, but 30 in below, so the picture isn't muted by angle viewing of the LED screen. Screws holding the frame to the LED TV are positively solid. The length of extension allow the TV to clear to table and hide all of the electronics and wires behind including my indoor TV antenna, power stirip and DVD player. 5Best monitor mount on the market I bought this mount for my desktop computer monitor after paying hundreds of $$ for other mounts that just couldn't manage to hold up a 20-pound monitor even after being rated for 50 pounds. This mount is a workhorse! Easy to mount, and it holds my computer monitor off of my desk, freeing up all kinds of desk space. This will last 200 years - long after anyone needs a monitor. It's SOLID steel, and very, very sturdy. All I needed to mount it to my wall (solid wood) was my drill and a screwdriver bit. I used plain old drywall screws and installed it in under five minutes. In the two photos I uploaded you can see how it attached to my door frame. 5ROCK SOLID, STOP LOOKING AND BUY THIS !!!! I bought this for a 22in PC monitor I have a small desk area and this would free up the area.First off this is a solid steel mount, it comes with screws and brackets to easily mount into wood or sheetrock.Pro:Comes with all mounting hardware, the mount allows horizontal; Vertical and Vertical Pitch( side angle to make viewing square. It will adjust to almost any angle needed. The bracket that attaches to the monitor/TV, is removable so you can attach it after installing the bracket or for removal to another room. This unit does easily what some costing a $100.00 more cant do.Easy to follow instruction pretty simple for anyone with basic hand tool experience.Con: The only con is the Vertical adjustment to angle is not the same on top as on bottom meaning the monitor will tilt down father then it will tilt up. This is not a falw its just hows its built a longer slot would easily solve this.Overall I AM NOT PAID TO SAY THIS, but it is by far the best you will find anywhere near this price. Stop looking and buy it I am looking and another for a separate monitor. 5Works fine in an RV (Update...not so much.) SEE UPDATES AT BOTTOM.Original 5 Star review:We used this to mount a tv in our RV. Has held up well for a few months now. No problems, works great. We do have to strap the tv to the wall before driving, or else it will swing outward and to the side, and bang the cabinet. But that's to be expected, it's meant for home use. The narrow wall mounting plate fit well in the space between two cabinets, and we can pull the tv forward to access the lift-up cabinet doors. If you have small children, you might not want to mount it to a high cabinet in an RV. The viewing angle is ok for an adult, but not great for kids, so try a lower place on the wall (make sure there is a stud there, and no wires in the wall in that spot).UPDATE: Within days of leaving this review, we realized that the articulating arm is starting to loosen up. The bracket is still mounted well into the cabinet, but the hinges of the actual articulating arm have loosened, and there is no way to tighten them. (The TV is well under the weight limit, and we secure the tv and mount during travel). For now I'll leave the 5 star review, because I'm aware the product isn't meant to be traveling, but if it ends up coming apart, I may dock it a star. (Despite the fact that it wasn't made for RV travel, there should be some way of tightening the hardware on the arm--I can easily imagine my kids adjusting the tv on the mount a million times even in a stationary home, and loosening the hardware that way.) As a side note, a similar tv bracket that we got at Walmart for about the same price, and we've had at least a year longer, hasn't loosened up at all even though it's installed in the same RV (actually, the back room, which gets a lot more bouncing than the front room, when going over bumps, and isn't secured as well). But in a normal home with little abuse of the tv mount, you may be happy with this one.UPDATE 6/25/16: The mount has continued to loosen up, even though we secure it very well during travel. I've decided to dock it one star, because as mentioned, even if we were using it in our regular home, the kids would adjust it to tilt higher or lower all the time, depending of if they were gaming or not, and I feel that this would have resulted in the same loosening...and maybe it would have happened with no adjustment at all. However, I'm glad to say that it's still holding up and hasn't fallen apart. Would I buy this again? Hmm...not if I could get the one I bought at Walmart again, which was the same price and is still doing well in our bedroom. (If I ever think to check on the brand, I'll mention it here.) Otherwise, I'd consider this again, if I needed a budget tv mount. It's still definitely worth at least four stars. 4Very Good Product, Instructions Could Be Better I bought this wall mount for a 24" HDMI monitor that is part of a dual monitor installation. I have limited desk space, so mounting the second display on the wall was a good solution. The articulation works smoothly and gives lots of flexibility. The mounting bracket comes attached to the arm and is locked by a screw that must be removed so the bracket can be attached to the VESA mounting holes. The instructions made no mention of this, so it took me a bit of time to figure out how to disassemble the two pieces. That's partly the reason I've deducted a star. The other is that there was no template provided to mark the position of holes needed to drill into the wall. That's certainly not a show-stopper, but it would have been very handy to have had that. 4The wall mount itself is great. It has a nice range of motion The wall mount itself is great. It has a nice range of motion, it's very solid and well build. My only qualm (the reason it lost a star from me) is that the included screws appear to be not as good a quality. I think they may be too soft. I installed directly into wood followed the instructions but the screws started to strip very quickly. I now have 3 very stripped screws which are only 90-95% screwed in. It's holding my TV to the wall and still seems to function but it's not fully flush against the wall and has a little wiggle because I can no longer screw the screws in any tighter nor can I remove them without getting a stripped screw remover bit. I would recommend possibly getting a different set of 3 better quality screws to use for this possibly shorter I'm not convinced they need to be as long as what was included. It did come with a variety of fasteners to allow for installation into concrete, drywall, and wood as well as different fasteners for multiple types of TVs so that was good. Over all I like the product and think it's a good quality and worth the cost. 4
